 Visa regime regulation in Uzbekistan.

Under the existing legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to enter the country or transit across its territory foreign nationals need a visa. For the citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine there is the bilateral visa-free regime (up to 60 days).

There are several types of visas:
- Diplomatic;
- Service (office);
- Work;
- Travel;
- Transit.
To obtain a tourist visa to Uzbekistan you must:
- get visa support (Permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan).
- get your visa at the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan. (if there is no embassy or consulate of Uzbekistan in your country, and in case of short notice the visa is issued at the airport).

Visa support for tourist visa to Uzbekistan.

To simplify the obtaining of a tourist visa to Uzbekistan there is the visa support, which is arranged by a travel agency licensed by the National Company Uzbektourism. The travel agency sends a request to the Foreign Ministry on behalf of potential tourists, and within 7 days’ period it is sent to the Embassy or the Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan where a tourist is going to get a visa. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the right to refuse to issue an enter permit without giving a reason for refusal.
For the citizens of the countries listed below there is no need for visa support, and the procedure of obtaining a visa is simplified by contacting the Embassies and Consulates of Uzbekistan that adopt decision on visa issuance within 2 business days:
Austria;
Belgium
United Kingdom;
Germany;
Spain;
Italy;
Northern Ireland;
the USA;
France;
Switzerland;
Japan.

After obtaining the necessary information our agency will issue a visa support for consideration in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After receiving permission from the Ministry we will send you the telex number by e-mail.
To obtain a visa at the Embassy or Consulate you need to submit:
- Visa application;
- Passport-size photo;
- Passport;
- Number of received telex;
- Consular fees payment receipt.

Getting a visa to Uzbekistan on arrival at Tashkent airport

Visas at Tashkent airport are issued to:
- nationals of the states that do not have the embassy or consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
- citizens who did not have time to get a visa at the consulate or embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan because of the departure (airline ticket showing the date of departure is to be submitted).

To get visa support to obtain a tourist visa at the airport in Tashkent you’ll need a copy of the airline ticket, a photocopy of your passport and the filled out online form.
Also, at the airport a tourist must show the written permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed by the travel agency. On the basis of this form of visa support the visa is issued during passport control procedure.
